Rotating equipment
When a pump, fan or drive keeps failing, the fault is usually in a part that wore — a shaft, an impeller, a hub or a housing. We repair it, re-machine it or make a new one, on our own floor.
What we do with it
Pumps — impellers, shafts, wear rings, sleeves and seal faces. Impellers are re-machined or replaced, and shafts are straightened or made new.
Fans — shafts, hubs and bearing housings.
Shafts — new shafts machined to drawing or to the worn original, and worn shafts built up and machined back to size.
Couplings — hubs machined, bored and keyed to fit.
The symptoms worth acting on
Vibration you can feel through the frame. Bearings that keep failing in the same position. Seals that leak again shortly after being replaced. A machine that runs hotter than it used to. Noise that rises and falls with speed.
Each of those is telling you something has worn. Replacing only the part that broke, without finding out why, buys a few months.
What we need from you
- What the machine is and what it drives
- Running speed
- How long the bearings or seals are lasting
- Whether anything changed before the trouble started
Send it through and we will quote it.
